The whole industry is gushing about Superstar Rajinikanth appearing in a Malayalam remake. Actually the film Katha Parayumbol released for Christmas in Kerala is about the friendship that blossoms between a barber in a small village and a Superstar (Mammootty in the original version) who camps there for one of his film shootings. The film has the right mix of everything-sentiment, comedy and realistic portrayals. The film's writer-producer Sreenivas who has been a close friend of Rajini recently screened it specially for the Superstar. Rajini who was impressed by the story value has expressed his interest in featuring in the Tamil remake. The film will be under K.Balachander's Kavithalaya banner and will be directed by P.Vasu. Pasupathy will do the role of the barber. Vidyasagar will score music. It seems that Rajini is in a hurry to complete the shooting for the remake by June before he starts working for Robot.
Rajini seems to get influenced by good stories and if more comes his way, we will get to see more of the Superstar on the silver screen. So in addition to the grand Robot, another Rajini film is in the making! Wonderful news to celebrate!
